ABOUT
CHASING THE DREAM:
Ever since I was 7 years old I was convinced of my passion for horses and the sport. Growing up I admired all of my dad's achievements, from doing Grand Prix level to becoming the first rider in Guatemala to go to the Olympics. His passion and horsemanship inspired me to one day be just like him. I started riding in Guatemala in my family's Equestrian facility "El Cortijo" managed by my grandfather Wylder Rodriguez. In 2016 my dad Juan Andres Rodriguez came to Wellington Florida eager to start a team and continue developing his riding career. Over the years with hard work and dedication he stared Rodriguez Equestrian based in Wellington Florida. My appreciation for my family and this team goes beyond everything as they continue supporting my riding career and all of my dreams. I am grateful to be able to represent Guatemala all over the United States and in prestigious championships. My compromise and dedication to the sport is clear and I'm going to continue working towards new goals and dreams by having in mind that "The sky is the limit!"

The world of show jumping:
Show jumping is one of the three equestrian sports at the Olympic Games. In this discipline the athlete has to ride a horse over a set of jumps in numerical order. The goal is to win the class by not scoring any faults by knocking any jumps down and having the fastest time. There are many levels from beginners to the Olympic Games.
Meet Ferdita

Ferdita is a 12 year old warmblood mare (Cardento 933 X Nimmerdor). She was raised in Holand in VDL Stud and we have her since she was 3 years old. Ferdita is a mare with such a special character being a sweat and affectionate mare. She is competitive and makes me feel safe in the ring. She is the best partner and I am so grateful to have her.
